How do I book a motorhome?

A booking can be secured by filling out a booking form either online or instore. Bookings can only be confirmed once a booking deposit of £250 is taken. If a booking is made within 6 weeks of the collection date, the full booking fee is required.

Is insurance included?

Insurance for one driver is included with your motorhome hire however we will require several pieces of information from you in order to provide you with cover. These include a photocard driving licence and two proofs of address i.e. a utility bill dated within the last ninety days. A bank statement is also an acceptable proof of address. You must have held a full UK driver’s licence for a minimum of two years. We will also ask you some questions about your occupation and driving/insurance history. Until we review your personal circumstances, we cannot confirm that we can provide you with insurance cover. Drivers must also be aged between 25-75 years of age.

This does not include personal, holiday or contents insurance. We recommend arranging a personal insurance and/or holiday insurance policy for the duration of your holiday. Yorkshire Coast Carvans cannot accept any claims for loss of bookings, loss or damage to personal belongings or claims for extra expenses due to mechanical/vehicle breakdown whilst on hire.

Is bedding provided?

Bedding is not provided with the hire of the  motorhome and will need to provided by the hirer. We recommend the use of sleeping bags and offer 20% off all sleeping bags in our accessory shop when hiring a motorhome.

Are pets/smoking allowed?

The Edge 486 motorhomes is allocated as our pet-friendly motorhome. Please contact us for more details regarding hiring with pets. Unfortunately, we do not permit smoking in any of the motorhome hire fleet at any time.

What are your collection and return times?

Your motorhome can be collected between 3:00pm-4:30pm on Fridays and must be returned to Yorkshire Coast Caravans between 9:00am-10.30am on the final day of hire (Tuesdays & Fridays).

Can I add another driver to my hire?

We are able to add a second driver to your motorhome hire at no extra charge. This person must also be able to provide us with their photocard driving licence and two proofs of address i.e. a utility bill dated within the last ninety days (not a mobile phone or water bill). A bank statement is also acceptable. We will also ask you some questions about your occupation and driving/insurance history. Until we review your personal circumstances, we cannot confirm that we can provide you with insurance cover. You must have held a full UK driver’s licence for a minimum of two years and must also be aged between 25-75 years of age.

Is diesel included?

Your motorhome will come with a full tank of diesel and we ask that the fuel tank is fully replenished before it is returned to us. There are several fuel stations in the Bridlington area.

What if I want to travel outside the UK?

Is breakdown cover included?

Full roadside assistance is provided through Fiat Camper Assist and the RAC. In the event of a vehicle breakdown, Fiat Camper Assist will, if the fault cannot be rectified at the roadside, recover the motorhome to the nearest Fiat Professional workshop. As part of the breakdown, if required, the RAC will arrange for accommodation to a value of upto EURO 100 per person per night. If the vehicle cannot be fixed within a timescale set out by the RAC, a hire car will be arranged to get you back to Yorkshire Coast Caravans. We therefore recommend the hirer take out additional holiday insurance in the event of a vehicle breakdown.

This will all be explained at handover and full information is included in your welcome pack. If repairs are required to the vehicle please contact Yorkshire Coast Caravans on 01262 400733 for assistance.

Our hire motorhomes are all under 3 years old and are regularly checked and maintained in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.

Why do I need to pay a security deposit?

A security deposit of £750 is payable when you collect the motorhome & is taken to cover any damage to the motorhome or damage/breakages of the equipment. When the Motorhome is returned it will be checked over and once deemed to be in a satisfactory condition as agreed, in the same condition it was let out, with the toilet empty, interior clean including all cooking appliances and the fuel tank replenished, this deposit is refunded immediately or directly into your bank account within 5 working days . Yorkshire Coast Caravans reserve the right to increase the security deposit for specific events. We reserve the right to deduct any amount which we determine to be due to us from the security deposit and our opinion as to what is due is binding except in the case of manifest error. This deposit can be paid by credit card or debit card on the collection day. REFUNDS will be processed in the same manner, provided that the vehicle is returned complete and undamaged, clean and tidy on the inside with an empty toilet cassette and a full tank of diesel.
